Like You

Sometimes it looked
like those flying locks
When the breeze
played with you
On our evening strolls
in lonely alleys.

Sometimes it looked
like every strand
of that wet gown
Embracing you tight
When you danced
in the rain.

Sometimes it looked
like that lone tear
That rolled out
of your closing eyes
When my lips met yours
in the dark.

Was it freedom
ecstasy or a promise
I wonder if I knew
what love looked like
Or if it ever looked
like anything but you.
