There were those pages
Where innocence had once
Bound you in words.

Over years they stayed
Locked up in my old chest
Suffocated, imprisoned.

Found them once more
Under a thick layer of life
Pleading to be freed.

Wonder what came over
Tearing them all one by one
I threw them to the wind.

While some verses rode
On wings to unknown lands
Some flowed down brooks.

And once again today
An old innocence smiled
As an old us flew away.
